The Atlanta Braves have announced outfielder Reed Johnson has been added to the 25-man roster. To make room for him, Jose Constanza has been optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. The move doesn't really come as a surprise, seeing as Constanza has been up and down all season between the two leagues.
Johnson will be at Turner Field for tonight's game with the Marlins. He is not in the starting lineup, although it's expected he will start on Wednesday as Michael Bourn rests against a left-handed pitcher. He will wear jersey No. 11.
Paul Maholm is expect to pitch on Saturday. That was originally Tommy Hanson's turn in the rotation, but it is expected the club will give him a few days off to try and gain strength in his arm. Maholm will wear #17 in Atlanta.
Lineups:
Michael Bourn - CF
Martin Prado - LF
Jason Heyward - RF
Brian McCann - C
Freddie Freeman - 1B
Dan Uggla - 2B
Juan Francisco - 3B
Paul Janish - SS
Kris Medlen - P
First pitch from Turner Field is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
