Braves vs. Marlins Lineup: Reed Johnson Replaces Martin Prado In Left

The Atlanta Braves acquired Reed Johnson for a reason. He is capable of playing either corner outfield position and can hold his own at the plate against lefties and righties, providing manager Fredi Gonzalez a valuable piece on game day.

On Wednesday night it was Michael Bourn's turn to get a night off. Johnson played right field and batted leadoff, while Jason Heyward shifted over defensively to center field. For Thursday's series finale with the Marlins, Johnson will move over to left field to give the struggling Martin Prado a night to rest. He will also bat in Prado's customary No. 2 spot in the batting order.

Here is the rest of the lineup for tonight's showdown with Miami. Mike Minor will be on the mound for Atlanta, and he will be opposed by recently-acquired Nathan Eovaldi.

Michael Bourn - CF
Reed Johnson - LF
Jason Heyward - RF
Chipper Jones - 3B
Freddie Freeman - 1B
Brian McCann - C
Dan Uggla - 2B
Paul Janish - SS
Mike Minor - P

First pitch from Turner Field is set for 7:10 p.m.
