The Atlanta Braves fell five games behind the Washington Nationals in the latest NL East standings on Wednesday night, as the Braves lost to the San Diego Padres and the Nationals beat the Miami Marlins. Complete division and Wild Card standings are below.
Despite the loss, the Braves still hold one of two National League Wild Cards, with the St. Louis Cardinals holding the other. The Pittsburgh Pirates are only one game out in the Wild Card race, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are close behind at a game and a half.
