Falcons-Eagles: Michael Vick Says He's 'Got A Shot' At Playing, But Can Definitely Groom Himself

Jeff McLane reports live from the Philadelphia Eagles’ showers:

Vick said that he threw Wednesday for the first time since he suffered cartilage damage to his ribs 11 days ago and that he’s “got a shot” at returning in time for Sunday’s game against his former team, the Atlanta Falcons.

“I’ve made progress every day,” Vick said. “Last week I couldn’t brush my hair, but now I can brush my hair. So that’s a good thing.”

He still hasn’t practiced yet this week, though we’ll certainly pass along word once we find out about his status today. Then again, Vick claims he “doesn't need practice to play,” which may just be the Philly talking:

Previous hair-related Vick news includes his 2006 decision to let his hair grow out until the Falcons won the Super Bowl, and the 2007 cutting of his hair when the Falcons won the Super Bowl he had to go to court.
