Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Atlanta Falcons: Bengals CB Johnathan Joseph Is Inactive

After the Falcons received word that Dunta Robinson would not be playing due to a concussion he suffered last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bengals received some bad news of their own. Cornerback Johnathan Joseph will not play in Sunday's game against the Falcons due to an ankle injury, Chris Mortensen reports.

Joseph was limited in practice on Friday but the team decided to hold him back. Joseph may not be a household name, but this is really good news for the Falcons. The Bengals defensive backs are a solid group and losing Joseph could open things up for Matt Ryan and company to find some openings. So it's all even on the cornerback front with each down a man. If this game turns into a shootout, we can look back to this as a huge reason.

Adam Jones will get the start in Joseph's absence.
