Cincinnati Bengals Vs. Atlanta Falcons Game Update: Falcons Controlling Early Tempo

The Atlanta Falcons are dominating in every statistical category against the Cincinnati Bengals. They have four first downs to the Bengals’ one. They have amassed 88 total yards while the Bengals have only 25. Time of possession is firmly in the Falcons’ corner with over seven minutes to under three minutes for the Bengals.

Roddy White is on pace for a huge day if he keeps up his current pace. He already has 64 yards on two catches. Matt Ryan and the passing game looks sharp but it’s the ground game that needs work. Michael Turner and Jason Snelling only have nine rushing yards on five carries.

The Falcons lead 7-0 late in the first quarter and have had two possessions so far, an eight-play touchdown drive and a punt.

Observations: Brian Finneran, who caught the touchdown pass, appears to be a viable redzone option but Snelling has not looked good in this one. Turner has a tendency to want to end runs too soon instead of fighting for the extra yard.
