Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has accounted for 73 percent of the Falcons’ offense through the first 16 minutes of game action. He has six catches – one one-handed - for 157 yards and one bobbled touchdown grab. He is on pace for 588 yards receiving and while that may not hold in this one, he could surely challenge his career-high mark of 210 yards set last season in San Francisco.
Chad Ochocinco talked a lot of smack this week but it’s his counterpart who is doing all the walking on the field. White has outgained Ochocinco by 151 yards so far. Last week, the Eagles focused on shutting White down and that left Michael Jenkins open for a big day (99 yards receiving). This week, it appears the Bengals strategy was to focus on the other Falcons receivers and leave White open. I wonder how that’s working for them.
This just in, White is a decent receiver and you may want to start trying to cover him.
