The Atlanta Falcons are in the midst of delivering their second beatdown of the season, leading the Cincinnati Bengals 24-3 at halftime. Earlier this year, the Falcons rolled the Arizona Cardinals 41-7 in the Georgia Dome. This game has the same kind of feel to it.
The Falcons have 13 first downs and 299 total yards in the first half. They have held the Bengals to only 143 yards including only 57 rushing yards. All the big names for the Falcons are showing up in this one. Matt Ryan is 13-for-16 for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Turner, my fantasy start of the week, has 87 yards and one touchdown in the first half. Roddy White has caught six passes for 157 yards and another touchdown.
Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco have combined for seven catches for 63 yards and Carson Palmer is only 11-for-20 for 95 yards. There’s not a negative in this one for the Falcons except for Tony Gonzalez who continues to struggle find openings in the defense and has yet to catch a pass.
