Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer has been on fire in the second half and now is 24-for-34 for 306 yards passing and two touchdowns in the third quarter. You would expect a quarterback with Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens as receivers to be productive but it’s been the play of rookie wide receiver Jordan Shipley that has Palmer enjoying a terrific fantasy day.
Shipley has five catches for 123 yards and a 64-yard touchdown catch. Palmer has found six different receivers with three players catching over 80 yards in receptions. Ochocinco has eight catches for 83 yards and Owens has seven catches for 81 yards and one touchdown including a great catch-and-run on his touchdown play.
The Bengals have the lead after trailing by 21 at halftime so you can bet Palmer will have a lot more chances to add to his total. He’s struggled this year, but if you stayed with him, he has repaid you big-time today.
