Fantasy Football, Week 8: Start Lance Moore Against The Steelers

Welcome to the Week 8 Starts and Sits, NFC South version. The Atlanta Falcons are off this week but the rest of their division plays on as the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the New Orleans Saints. Which players will make solid fantasy plays and which ones should you leave on your bench? We deliver the answers in easy to chew, bite-sized pieces.

Start

Saints WR Lance Moore - The Steelers defense has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and I don't expect a big day from Drew Brees, however, I do think Moore can get free for a score in this one. The Saints have four solid receivers and it's difficult to determine which ones will have a big day but if I had to pick, I'd choose Moore.

Honorable Mention: Saints WR Robert Meachem

Sit

Steelers TE Heath Miller - Miller has been less and less involved in the passing game with Mike Wallace and Hines Ward collecting most of the targets. The Saints have allowed solid days to tight ends so there's potential but the Steelers haven't looked his way very often and with injuries in the Saints secondary, Ben Roethlisberger should find plenty of openings to throw towards Wallace and Ward.

Honorable Mention: Saints QB Drew Brees

Note: These recommendations focus on fringe players who should outperform or underperform their season averages.
