The Atlanta Falcons converted two third downs on their opening drive against the Baltimore Ravens, punting near midfield. WR Roddy White caught four balls for 45 yards, putting him on pace for like a million. Safe to say his knee feels just fine after suffering an injury last Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ravens CB Lardarius Webb appears to be the Falcons primary target tonight.
Falcons OC Mike Mularkey, known for starting games with a heavy dose of the running game, called four straight passes and a dash of no-huddle to open the drive, with six overall. QB Matt Ryan completed five for 48 yards, with the other a three-yard in to TE Tony Gonzalez. RB Michael Turner carried the ball twice, stuffed for no gain both times. LB Ray Lewis left the field after getting popped by Turner on a blitz pickup.
Ravens DE Terrell Suggs also dropped Ryan for a big sack, but White converted the third-and-long.
