If Matt Ryan is going to add to his already impressive home record, he’s going to need to rely on his defense against the Ravens. Neither offense has been able find the endzone or even get their kickers involved so far.
The Falcons outgained the Ravens, 82 yards to 59 in the first 15 minutes with Roddy White being the primary beneficiary with 45 yards on four catches. The ground games have struggled but the Ravens seem to be on the verge of breaking a couple runs.
Pressure on each quarterback has been important as well with neither quarterback looking too comfortable out there. The Falcons will need to establish the running game a lot more than they did in the first quarter if they plan on making this their seventh win this season.
Ray Lewis left the game early on but he’s back in and White has shown no ill effects of the knee injury that had much of Atlanta worried.
