Packers Vs. Falcons Halftime: Evenly-Matched First Half Has Falcons In The Lead

If this game is a preview of a possible NFC Championship game, then count me in. After a first half that’s seen both offenses move the ball without much opposition, the Falcons lead the Packers, 10-3.

The Falcons, as they have in nearly every game this season, lead most of the stat sheet categories at halftime. They have 10 first downs to nine for the Packers. The Falcons have gained six more total yards, outgaining them by 29 on the ground but have allowed the Packers to throw for 23 more yards.

Penalties have played a big role in the first half with the Falcons committing three and the Packers getting called for four. Time of possession is being controlled by the Falcons with almost 17 minutes for the home team.

The lone turnover in the game has been the difference. Aaron Rodgers fumbled at the Falcons’ goalline and Atlanta drove 80 yards to take the lead at halftime.
