Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Atlanta Falcons: Bucs Rookie Brian Price Placed On Injured Reserve

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie defensive tackle Brian Price, the 35th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday with a pelvis injury, NFL.com reports. Price, who was the Pac-10 Player of the Year at UCLA, had played sparingly the first five games this season but missed the last two games (St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals) due to injury.

Price only had three tackles and wasn’t seeing much time behind Roy Miller and fellow rookie Gerald McCoy. To fill Price’s roster spot, the Buccaneers signed Al Woods – no relation to Bear, as far as I know – from the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad.

After the drafting of defensive tackles, McCoy and Price, there were high hopes for the Buccaneers rush defense but they’ve struggled this year allowing the 3rd-most rushing yards in the NFL – 149.4 per game – and only tallying six sacks, a league low.
