After the Minnesota Vikings placed WR Randy Moss on waivers, the Tennessee Titans have claimed him. Moss gives the Titans three of the NFL's most dynamic offensive stars along with QB Vince Young and HB Chris Johnson. Coach Jeff Fisher was on the Dan Patrick Show earlier today, insisting the team will continue to require its wide receivers to block on running plays, something Moss has never really been a big fan of.
↵Considering the NFL's waiver order, we can easily determine which teams had no interest in plucking Moss off the waiver wire. The Buffalo Bills had dibs by virtue of their league-worst record -- it's like the NFL Draft.
↵The Titans are 5-3, meaning Moss made it past the Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Vikings, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and Chicago Bears, and possibly the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints depending on which tiebreakers were in play.
↵No word on whether the Atlanta Falcons put in a claim for Moss, though there'd been no reason to believe they would, as Dave Choate and I both went out of our way to remind Falcons fans.
