After a 58-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, Mike Williams showed the Georgia Dome a familiar sight: The Dirty Bird Dance made famous by former Falcons running back, Jamal Anderson.
Anderson was not amused:
Kind of sick of seeing other teams players do my dance in the Dome. Everybody else does it, but not one Falcons. Um, ok…
The fact is, he’s right. No current players still do The Dirty Bird and it’s bizarre to see the Falcons’ opponents hold onto to that. I mean, do teams do the Ickey Shuffle when they score against the Bengals? I know the Buccaneers are young and brash and they need to be that way so they don’t realize they are not an elite team yet but poking the bear has never been a good strategy.
