In a Week 9 NFC showdown, the Atlanta Falcons have forced one turnover and it was courtesy of defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux, who picked off Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman. Babineaux doesn’t have a tackle against the Buccaneers but this game-changing play erases all other statistical deficiencies.
Undrafted free agent Michael Palmer caught his first NFL touchdown from Matt Ryan. Palmer, who is seeing more playing time with Justin Peelle out with an inury, made a terrific catch in coverage. Palmer has two catches for 11 yards and has combined with Tony Gonzalez to give the Falcons’ tight ends 10 catches for 83 yards and one touchdown. The Falcons’ pass offense has been in balance with a strong running game led by Michael Turners’ 93 yards rushing.

The Falcons still lead the Buccaneers 27-21 in the fourth quarter but the Buccaneers are driving.
