Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner recorded his fourth 100-yard rushing game this season with a 107-yard performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Week 9 NFC South showdown. Turner also added two scores on the ground and was the primary reason the Falcons beat the Buccaneers, 27-21.
Turner now has four touchdowns in the past two games after scoring only once in the first six weeks this season. The Falcons lead the NFC South by a half game over the New Orleans Saints, who were winners over the Carolina Panthers today.
Turner carried 24 times, losing only five carries to backup running back Jason Snelling. Turner has upcoming games against the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers before playing the Buccaneers again in Week 13. He finishes the season against the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints and Panthers again.
Though Turner was disappointing to his fantasy owners early on, he appears to have found his way and should be a number one option for your team the rest of the year.
