Roddy White Knee Injury: Says He'll Play Thursday Against Baltimore Ravens

After Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game in the first quarter with some sort of left knee injury, he was ruled questionable to play in the second half. He did return to play, working his way up to 52 total yards and catching a crucial first-down conversion on the goal line that set up a Michael Palmer touchdown.

On playing against the Baltimore Ravens, White says, “I’m going to be playing Thursday,” so there’s that. The Falcons need their star more than ever, with Baltimore wielding one of the league’s ten best passing defenses.

Fifty-two yards was White’s lowest total since week 14 of last year, and it took him missing over a quarter of play for the Bucs to keep him contained. Still, all the attention on White helped Michael Turner, Tony Gonzalez, and Michael Jenkins to have big days, and Matt Ryan didn’t seem to mind at all.
