The NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons welcome the AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens in the NFL’s first Thursday night game of the season, since apparently nobody counts the season-opening Thursday nighter as a Thursday night game, as that day has actually been renamed Footballday by Congress.
The game will be shown at 8:20 on NFL Network, which nobody has. If you’re in the Atlanta area, you’re sitting pretty and do not need to contact Sonny Purdue or whoever our governor is now about this outrage. I’m told Sonny Purdue is still our governor for the time being.
The game will also be shown on channel 36, which is apparently called myATL now after years of being called WATL. I’m learning so much about Georgia while typing up this post. Sadly, this won’t mean you get to sidestep Joe Theismann, as they’re just FWDing the NFL Network feed.
If that’s not enough for you, tune in to hear Wes Durham and Dave Archer on something called Dave FM, an outfit that kicked Z93 out of business long ago to my great surprise. Also, 99X is playing Enrique Iglesias right this minute.
