Ravens Vs. Falcons: The Numbers Game, A Baltimore-Atlanta Stats-apalooza

Welcome to the pre-game, quick hit, stats-apalooza. This is a broad, statistical overview of the current Atlanta Falcons' opponent. This week, it's the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens will travel 678 miles to play the Falcons in the Georgia Dome for the first Thursday Night Football game of the season. Let's learn a little bit about our guests.

The city of Baltimore is known by many nicknames; Charm City, Mobtown, B'More, The City of Firsts, Monument City and, of course, Ravenstown. Their many mottos include: "The Greatest City in America", "Get in on it." and "The city that reads." They are also known for a little show a few people may have heard of, The Wire. Their mascot is Poe. You can email Poe your questions here. Wide receiver Derrick Mason is the oldest rostered player at 36 years old while linebacker Ray Lewis is the longest tenured with 15 years in the league.

FANTASY ALERT: The Ravens' secondary has struggled this season, allowing the 15th-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. If Roddy White is healthy, he should be in for another big game. Even missing time last week with a knee injury, White is averaging 7.3 receptions for 99.5 yards and has scored five touchdowns.
