The Atlanta Falcons will be playing the Carolina Panthers without the services of their backup running back and backup middle linebacker. Jason Snelling and Coy Wire have been ruled inactive for this game. Snelling missed last week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a hamstring injury and it looks like the team will give him all the rest he needs. With the Panthers Sunday and the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15, he can afford to heal fully.
Wire's absence means less now that Curtis Lofton has been ruled active. With Lofton, Mike Peterson and Sean Weatherspoon as starters and Stephen Nicholas subbing in, Wire did not see much playing time outside of special teams anyway. Outside of those two injuries, the Falcons bring a fully healthy team into Week 14, a rarity in the NFL.
