It’s becoming more and more apparent that the Atlanta Falcons are going to have to handle the New Orleans Saints themselves. The Falcons have won seven games in a row and sit at 11-2 but the defending Super Bowl champion Saints won’t go away. They won their sixth game in a row to remain just one game behind the Falcons at 10-3. The Falcons beat the Saints earlier this season in New Orleans which accounts for the one-game lead. Both teams will meet in Week 16 at the Georgia Dome to decide the NFC South and possibly homefield advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.
Drew Brees threw three touchdown passes – two to Marques Colston – and the defense returned a Sam Bradford interception for another score en route to a 31-13 victory over the Rams. The Saints play at Baltimore next week against the Ravens while the Falcons will travel to Seattle to host the Seahawks.
