2011 East-West Shrine Game Coaches: Former Falcons Coaches Dan Reeves And Wade Phillips

Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips worked together in 2002 and 2003, when Reeves was the Atlanta Falcons head coach and Phillips his defensive coordinator. When Reeves was fired in late 2003, Phillips took over as interim head coach. Since then, Phillips coached the Dallas Cowboys for three-and-a-half seasons while Reeves has done radio and politicked for Georgia State football.

They'll be coaching against each other in the 2011 East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 22, the nation's longest-running college football all-star game. It's been surpassed in recent years by the Senior Bowl, and is being approached from the flanks by the gloriously secessionist Texas Vs. The Nation Game, but it's still one of the last chances many players will have to impress NFL scouts in a live game.

Georgia Bulldogs LB Akeem Dent has announced he'll play in the East-West game, with WR Kris Durham heading to that Texas thing to save New Austin from Bill Williamson's lowlife horse gang of railroad butchers.
