The Atlanta Falcons have clinched a spot in the 2010 NFL playoffs. Playoff tickets will be available to season ticket holders on Dec. 21, with common folk having access to playoff tickets on Dec. 22 10 a.m. at atlantafalcons.com. No telling how much they'll cost [UPDATE: tickets will start at $65] or even when the team's first game will be, as the team still has work to do in order to own a first-week bye and home game.
↵The Falcons will earn home field advantage throughout the playoffs by beating either the New Orleans Saints or Carolina Panthers in the next two weeks. Both of those are home games. This is assuming the Birds can hang on against the Seattle Seahawks today, which looks likely as they're up by two touchdowns late in the third and driving.
↵If Atlanta can get home field, their first playoff game will be either Jan. 15 or 16. Their next would be either Jan. 22 or 23, but we're getting way, way ahead of ourselves.
