Atlanta Falcons playoff tickets went on sale this morning, and it looks like the team will get to avoid the embarrassing situation faced by the New England Patriots last season*. At 10:08, tickets for Atlanta's first playoff game had already sold out.
↵With a win in their next two games, over either the New Orleans Saints or Carolina Panthers, the Falcons will clinch home field advantage and a game at the Georgia Dome on either Jan. 15 or 16. Their opponent will be the lowest-ranked team to survive the wild card round. If you say your prayers every night between now and then, it might even be the 7-9 NFC West champion, who will actually have home field advantage of their own during round one.
↵If the Falcons can lock up home field this week or next week and win their playoff opener, they'll get to host another for the NFC championship.
↵* In their defense, Pats fans have had to do this every year as of late instead of twice per decade.
