When he's not busy infuriating all of Louisiana via Twitter, Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White is leading all NFC receivers in Pro Bowl votes. White finished with 595,001 votes, just shy of NFL-leading receiver Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans (606,818). White leads the league in catches and receiving yardage, and fifth in the NFC in receiving touchdowns.
↵Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez also took the top conference spot at his position, with his 458,527 votes well behind San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates' 588,245. Gonzalez' honor appears largely based on name recognition, as he's sixth in the NFC among tight ends in yards. He's played well, of course, and there's a lot more to it than yardage, but usually that's about all Pro Bowl voters go by.
↵QB Matt Ryan finished in the top ten of all vote-getters, ranking just 3,000 or so behind Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew. New England Patriots QB Tom Brady overtook Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick this week after trailing him and Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning just two weeks ago.
↵Team lineups will be announced Dec. 28, and then changed daily after that as players get hurt, decide they don't want to go, make the Super Bowl, and so forth.
