Monday Night Football Odds, Saints Vs. Falcons: Spread Favors Atlanta By Token Amount

The spread for tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons has stayed busy all week. The Falcons started out favored -2, meaning they’d be significant underdogs if the game were being played in New Orleans. Trap then went ham, as the line either went up or down depending on which service you were looking at and the angles at which moonlight was refracting through the swamp gas.

And finally, according to our Vegas bros at Odds Shark, the Falcons are -2.5 to -3 favorites. The public has slightly more confidence in Atlanta than they did a week ago, but still not enough to suggest these teams would be equally valued on a neutral playing field.

If Atlanta’s 6-0 2010 home record, plus Matt Ryan’s 19-1 overall home record, can’t convince Joe Betsonsports, then there’s only one thing left to do: see if 7-0 will do it. This isn’t the same Saints team the Falcons played earlier in the year — don’t expect a free Brett Favrely interception toss from Drew Brees this time around. The Falcons are healthy across the board, but the Saints are mighty healthy too, no Ghostface.

I am not laying a wager on this game.
