New Orleans Saints Vs. Atlanta Falcons Game Update: Defenses Setting The Tone Early

The New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons have won 22 combined games this season thanks to their explosive offenses but it’s their defenses that are setting the tone early on in their Monday Night Football clash. Six minutes into the first quarter, we’ve seen four punts and only one first down in a scoreless game.

The Falcons have been able to pressure Drew Brees and force some bad throws and the Falcons offense couldn’t get going on both their three-and-outs. This games was expected to be a high-scoring affair but at this rate, getting past midfield is turning into quite the accomplishment.

Roddy White can set a team-record for catches and yards with six catches for 99 yards in this one and Matt Ryan can add to his already impressive 19-1 home record. The Falcons can clinch home field advantage in the NFC playoffs with a win while the Saints can keep their division hopes alive with a victory.
