Late games:

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers, 4:15, Fox: The Bears have locked up a first-round bye, but they’d love to take the Atlanta Falcons’ No. 1 seed (in the event of a Falcons loss to the Carolina Panthers) and knock out their biggest rival at the same time. That would also mean booting Pro Bowl-snub Aaron Rodgers in favor of (probably) Eli Manning, so for the fourth straight week Atlanta should root for Da Bears so long as Da Birds win. Join Windy City Gridiron and Acme Packing Company for more. Line: PENDING

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles, 4:15, Fox: Philly’s set as the NFC’s No. 3 seed, but it’ll be interesting to see what Michael Vick and company can do on a very, very short week against a nothin’-to-lose division rival. Dallas win wouldn’t change the playoff picture any, but a good effort by the Boys would be nice. Holler at Blogging The Boys and Bleeding Green Nation for more. Line: PENDING

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans, 4:15, CBS: Way more pumped about this game than Giants-Skins, which actually has NFC playoff implications. The Heart Attack Cats (do we call them that?) can keep their playoff boat afloat, but they’ll have to beat the Cardiac Arrestin’ Texans (no?) first in the most Gus Johnson game of all time. Please tell me Gus Johnson is calling this game. I can’t bear to look and find out he’s not. Join Big Cat Country and Battle Red Blog to see if your ticker can take this game. Line: Jaguars -1.5

St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks, 8:20, NBC: The NFC West title game, in which we discover the New Orleans Saints’ first-round victim. No offense, but Turf Show Times and Field Gulls are going to care about this game much, much more than your correspondent does. Line: Rams – 2.5 (<—- Interesting. That line’s going up, too.)
