Matt Ryan threw his 20th touchdown pass of the season with a 17-yard scoring strike to fullback Ovie Mughelli, giving the Atlanta Falcons a 14-7 second quarter lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The touchdown pass finished off an eight-play, 60-yard drive that took just over two and a half minutes.
The Falcons are starting to gain advantages in all the offensive categories they typically control. Time of possession, first downs and total yards are all led by the Falcons. The only real concern at this point is the chippiness the game has taken on. Roddy White has been flagged for extracurricular activities with the Bucs cornerbacks and there has been many more instances that went unpenalized.
The Falcons are the better team so hopefully they can maintain their composure and just let their play on the field do the talking. The Falcons are driving with two minutes to go in the second quarter.
