Falcons Vs. Bucs Score: 24-21, Falcons Trim Buccaneers Lead To Three

The Atlanta Falcons are going to need to turn into a quick-strike offense if they have plans on improving to 10-2. They trail the upstart Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-14 in the fourth quarter after a halfback pass fooled everyone in the Falcons defense.

Josh Freeman, who’s thrown for just 119 yards today, handed off to Earnest Graham at the two-yard line and Graham found John Gilmore for a touchdown pass that gave the Buccaneers their current 10-point advantage.

Thew Falcons had allowed 17 unanswered points and Matt Ryan had thrown for two interceptions, accounting for the deficit. Michael Turner has been able to find running room, rushing for 64 yards on 18 carries but it’s been the Falcons’ turnovers that have allowed the Buccaneers to maintain their momentum.

Then Eric Weems happened. In the time it took me to write this game update, Eric Weems brought back the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to bring the Falcons back to within three points.
