The Carolina Panthers appeared to be on their way to their second victory of the season, leading the Seattle Seahawks 14-0 at Qwest Field in the second quarter. Their fortunes took a turn for the worse, though, as the Seahawks reeled off 31 unanswered points in a 31-14 loss, dropping them to 1-11 on the season.
The Panthers haven’t been a factor in the NFC South all season but the Seahawks, despite their .500 record, could be a team that hosts a playoff game as the winner of the NFC West.
Jonathan Stewart led the Panthers with 92 rushing yards on 21 carries and one touchdown. He was the lone bright spot for a team that has been preparing for the NFL Draft for a few months now.
The Falcons play the Panthers twice in the final four games this season and after this performance, the Falcons should be at 12 wins, at least, this season.
