This is the Orlando Sentinel though, where they do stuff like slot the Georgia Bulldogs 64th in their preseason rankings. Hey, remember that? Actually doesn't seem all that crazy now.

Speaking of democracy gone sideways, Blutarsky unearths some wonderful nuggets from the final USA Today Coaches' Poll results, which are public. Mark Richt voted his team's bowl opponent, the Central Florida Knights, No. 25.

And speaking of Auburn, South Carolina Gamecocks RB Marcus Lattimore's mom talked to Thayer Evans about Auburn's recruitment of her son. She says the Tigers promised Lattimore he'd start from day one, while Carolina assured him he'd have to earn a starting role.

Falcons: Shutdown Corner lists Atlanta Falcons CB Brent Grimes among Sunday's most valuable players. Grimes locked down his side of the field, allowing only two catches for 11 yards, and grabbed the game-sealing interception. He almost snagged another earlier in the game, but it was called back after the ball ever-so-slightly bounced along the ground.
