NFL Playoff Picture: Falcons And Bears Get First Round Byes, Packers Clinch Sixth Seed

The NFC playoff picture is all but decided now with the Green Bay Packers beating the Chicago Bears, 10-3, in a surprisingly defensive battle. The Packers win eliminated the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were both rooting for a Bears win. The Packers will open against the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the playoffs with the New Orleans Saints playing on the road against either the St. Louis Rams or the Seattle Seahawks. That outcome will be decided tonight during Sunday Night Football.

The Falcons and Bears each get first round byes with the Falcons clinching home field advantage as the conference’s top seed. The Falcons will face the lowest seed remaining in the second round. It will likely be the Saints since they’ll be heavy favorites over either the Seahawks or Rams. The Bears could be in for a rematch with the Eagles in the second round. The Bears beat the Eagles earlier this season.
