Via The 506 (and confirmed by NFL Network’s Rich Eisen), the schedule for the wild card round of the 2011 NFL playoffs. Saturday, Jan. 8 on NBC, the 4:30 pm ET game will pit the New Orleans Saints against the winner of the game between the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks.
Later that night at 8 pm ET on NBC, the New York Jets will travel to face the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts today clinched the AFC South.
On Sunday, Jan. 9, the Baltimore Ravens roll out to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1 pm ET game on CBS, and the Green Bay Packers are off to see the Philadelphia Eagles in Fox’s 4 pm ET game. The Packers just made it into the playoffs today by beating the Chicago Bears.
The Atlanta Falcons will play either the Rams/Seahawks, Saints, or Packers in their divisional round game the following Saturday night. The Falcons will host that game at the Georgia Dome. The Bears, New England Patriots, and Pittsburgh Steelers are also off during the first round.
Falcons fans can enjoy two notes: the Saints will have to travel, perhaps all the way to Washington, and either Aaron Rodgers or Michael Vick will be knocked out in round one.
