Former Georgia Bulldog and pride of Folkston, Champ Bailey, was added to the AFC Pro Bowl team. He replaces Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who withdrew from the game because no player really wants to play due to medical reasons. This is Bailey's 10th Pro Bowl appearance and sixth with the Denver Broncos. He finished 2010 with two interceptions, 45 tackles, one sack and 13 pass defenses.
Barring a lockout, Bailey is set to become a free agent and even at 32 years old, he's still one of the top corners in the game. The Falcons, as it would reason, may be in the market for a cornerback and what would be sweeter than bringing a local product back home to finish his career? Now, I do not actually believe this would happen but let's dream a little shall we?
The Falcons pass defense was 22nd this past season, so we're not disrupting anything major. Let's put Dunta Robinson and Bailey at the corners. Brent Grimes can then move to nickel back and use his athletic ability to the fullest. With safeties Thomas DeCoud and William Moore backing it all up, it's a perfect mix.
