NFL Pro Bowl Score: 14-0, Adrian Peterson Gives NFC Two-Score Lead

The NFC is off and running in the 2011 Pro Bowl with a 14-0 lead thanks to a 14-yard touchdown run by Adrian Peterson. Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner started the game and ran for 15 yards on three carries before giving way to Peterson on the last drive.

Michael Vick, the former Falcons quarterback, is 5-for-10 for 59 yards and eventually will be passing the reins to either Drew Brees or current Falcons quarterback, Matt Ryan.

As the first quarter wound down, DeAngelo Hall (former Falcons cornerback and Mike Smith wrestling partner) intercepted a Philip Rivers pass intended for Brandon Lloyd in the end zone.

This year’s game has shown a lot more defense so far than I’d expected, at least on the NFC side and as Terry Bradshaw pointed out during the telecast, these uniforms are some of the most hideous I’ve seen. It’s definitely Arena Ball territory.
