Remember when the Philadelphia Eagles looked like the most unstoppable team ever? Where’d we all get that idea anyway? Because Michael Vick tore apart the Washington Redskins? Like that’s all that hard to do, or something?
The tide’s are certainly turning, with the Eagles only favored by a token home-field three points against the Green Bay Packers. The line even started at Philly -2.5, meaning Green Bay would likely be slightly favored if the game were to be played on a neutral field.
The Packers are getting healthy at the right time, while the Eagles sat pretty much every player of theirs that you’ve heard of in week 17, most of them partially due to actual injuries, though they would’ve played if the game had mattered. Sports Illustrated has picked the Packers to win the NFC, starting with an upset (technically) of the Eagles on Sunday.
