If ever there were a good sign for the Atlanta Falcons making a run in the NFL playoffs, this is it: Big Boi is taking on the Don Cheadle/Hank Williams Jr. role of pre-game hype man for at least one game, and hopefully more. The release specifies artists, plural, will be making these for games, and it sounds like just one video per weekend, so it's not like we'll get to see Twan rapping about every playoff game the whole way through, because that would be too wonderful.
↵But here's the thing. The marquee game of the NFL playoffs' opening weekend will feature Atlanta's greatest musician performing a version of a song whose original begins with a line that very explicitly expresses Southern, shall we say, dominance. How can this not be a good thing?
