New Orleans Saints Vs. Seattle Seahawks Score: Matt Hasselbeck Interception Sets Up Drew Brees TD, 10-0

After holding the New Orleans Saints to a field goal and benefiting from a short kickoff, the Seattle Seahawks looked to be in decent shape. On third-and-short, QB Matt Hasselbeck rolled out right and forced a throw to Ben Obomanu, who would definitely not have been able to secure the first if he had caught it. The ball skipped off his hands and into Saints CB Jabari Greer’s.

Drew Brees converted shortly after with a one-yard touchdown toss to FB Heath Evans.

The Saints running game, minus Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory, is only averaging 2.8 yards per carry thus far, though Julius Jones did break a strong seven-yarder.

The Saints are avoiding dangerous Seahawks KR Leon Washington, having kicked short twice now. Washington was perhaps the league’s best kick returner this year — we’ll see if the Hawks can take advantage of their good field position this time around.
