↵↵Tomorrow the Ravens play the Chiefs at 1 ET on CBS, followed by Packers-Eagles at 4:30 on Fox. Next week the Seahawks will play either the Bears or Falcons, and the Jets will play the Patriots.
↵If you're just joining us, the worst team in NFL playoff history beat the defending Super Bowl champions -- that's right, the Seattle Seahawks have upset the New Orleans Saints. Atlanta Falcons fans were rooting for Seattle all game, as the prospect of welcoming an 8-9 team into the Georgia Dome is a very, very inviting one indeed.
↵But Falcons fans will need to keep rooting for their avian brethren tomorrow. If the Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Green Bay Packers, the No. 1-seeded Falcons will get the No. 6-seeded Packers, even though the Packers are clearly superior to Seattle and had a better record. That's the breaks.
↵But if Philly beats the Pack, the Falcons will get the Seahawks as the Eagles travel to play the Bears. This is highly preferable. Not only would it be a far, far better matchup for the Falcons in round two, it would also be a tough road game for Michael Vick. A Packers loss could set up a Seahawks-Bears Super Bowl road for the Falcons. Could be worse, right?
