After a defensive struggle throughout much of the first quarter, the Green Bay Packers took a 7-0 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles thanks to a seven-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to reserve tight end Tom Crabtree. The drive covered 10 plays and 68 yards and you knew once the ball was in the red zone – thanks to the Eagles league-worst red zone defense – the Packers were punching it in.
The Packers started the game with a mistake on special teams that caused the Eagles to get a first down in Packer territory but David Akers missed the field goal attempt keeping the game scoreless.
The big news for the Eagles is the injury to DeSean Jackson. He had his ankle rolled up on during a LeSean McCoy running play and was seen limping off the field. He was taken into the locker room and the FOX broadcast said he had not yet been ruled out but his return was questionable.
