Falcons Vs. Panthers Injury Update: John Abraham Returns To Practice

Cam Newton could be getting friendly with Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham after all. Abraham returned to practice on Friday for the Falcons after a groin injury forced him out of last week's loss to Green Bay. Abraham was listed by Atlanta as limited and questionable for Sunday, and the AJC reported that he was considered 50/50 to play.

Center Todd McClure and offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds both returned on Friday. McClure also missed the Green Bay game, and is listed as probable for Sunday. Safety William Moore has also returned from a neck injury suffered in the loss to the Packers. Meanwhile, the age-defying wonder and certain Hall-of-Famer Tony Gonzalez returned to full practice with an elbow injury, and will be probable for the Panthers game. You can't hope to stop the NFL's Methuselah, only to contain him.

The only players officially missing Sunday's game will be wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) and safety Chris Owens (concussion).
