Jahvid Best Injury Could End Lions Star's Season, According To Repot

The Detroit Lions could be the first team the Atlanta Falcons play this year with actual significant injury trouble of their own. Most significant: running back Jahvid Best suffered a concussion last week, and isn't looking likely to play on Sunday.

And now this, via the Detroit Free PressCBS Sports reports Best is being advised to consider sitting out the rest of the year. If the situation is that serious, you can highly doubt he'll come anywhere near the huddle against the Falcons. Best has missed practice so far this week.

Best has 72 percent of the Lions' rushing yards so far this season, despite missing a portion of Week 6. He's also third on the team in receiving yardage. Just to give you a sense of what an important piece he is for the Lions: he currently has 113 more yards from scrimmage than Calvin Johnson has.
