Matt Ryan Injury Update: Questionable With Hurt Knee

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had his foot bent backward on itself in the third quarter against the Detroit Lions (entirely uncomfortable video here), and was able to make it off the field and into the locker room. He's questionable to return for this game, and has been replaced by Chris Redman.

Interesting to note it's being called a knee injury and not an ankle injury. They're all connected, but it's easy to look at that video and worry for his ankle without even thinking of his knee.

Redman is a capable backup and will hopefully be able to preserve Atlanta's 17-9 lead. Getting out of Ford Field with an upset win and a bye week ahead would be a welcome turn of events. Or Ryan could return. Updates as they come.
