Matt Ryan Injury Update: 'Happy It Wasn't Worse Than It Was'

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has 13 days to rest up his ankle or knee or whatever other part of his leg may have been afflicted on Sunday. After the game, Ryan talked for a moment about the status of his wounded limb:

It hurt on the field. Once I was able to shake that off, go to the sideline, come in (locker room), have (trainers) do a little bit more thorough exam, I felt good. I was ready to go and was happy it wasn't worse than it was.

Elsewhere, Mike Smith mentioned seeing Ryan emerge from the locker room, then hurrying to give him the eyeball test before sending him out for a crucial third-down conversion.

Don't expect Ryan to miss any games, but keep an ear out over the next couple days for more (though not much more!) on his injury.
