Ndamukong Suh Says That He Doesn't Need 'Rodney' White's Respect

"Do I need Rodney White’s respect? No. Leave it at that."

That was the reply from second-year phenom defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh after Atlanta Falcons wideout Roddy White said after Sunday’s game in Detroit that he'd "lost respect" for the Lions 2010 first-round pick because he taunted an injured Matt Ryan.

While the slight on Roddy's name seemed intentional, Suh defended himself and fellow defensive lineman Cliff Avril after the Falcons offensive line accused Detroit of dirty play and shenanigans.

"I’m not even near their quarterback so how am I going to trash talk somebody that has a medical staff that’s all around him?" Suh said.

Matt Ryan's ankle seems to be fine, but as a precaution sources say that Ryan will be getting a second opinion during the upcoming bye week before the Falcons face the Colts on Nov. 6.

One thing's for certain, Falcons' head coach Mike Smith recognizes that his team was able to stand up to the pugnacious style of the Lions.

"There's a lot of things said between the sidelines and I know this: that was a physical, tough football game against two, I think, very aggressive teams. Probably the most physical game that we've played to this point."

Once again, Michael Turner's physicality running the ball wore down the Lions. The Falcons are now 4-0 when Turner carries the ball 20+ times in a game, as he performed admirably with a 27-carry, 122 yard performance.
