William Moore, Chris Owens Injuries: Falcons Secondary Depleting

The Atlanta Falcons have lost a pair of defensive backs already, with starting safety William Moore questionable to return due to a shoulder injury and nickel back Christopher Owens out for the game with a head injury (NBC called it a concussion).

They were replaced by preseason free agency acquisitions James Sanders and Kelvin Hayden, respectively.

Of all teams to experience secondary attrition against, the Packers aren't the one you'd opt for. Even though Owens was the victim of many an Aaron Rodgers pass during last year's uncalled-for playoff blowout, the Birds could use lots of bodies in the backfield.

Still, both Sanders and Hayden are very capable replacements. Injuries have certainly taken a bigger toll on the Packers than they have on the Falcons -- rookie Derek Sherrod took over at left tackle for Chad Clifton earlier.
