Despite being ranked No. 19 in the latest SB Nation Power Rankings, the Atlanta Falcons find themselves moving upward in rankings at ESPN, CBS Sports, and Fox Sports. The Falcons sit at 4-3 having won two straight games.
ESPN.com ranks the Falcons at No. 12 up two spots from No. 14 last week. They justify the ranking citing that Atlanta has won three of its last four games with the only loss coming to the No. 1 ranked Green Bay Packers.
Atlanta also moves up two spots in CBS Sports' latest offering to No. 10 after ranking No. 12 last week. CBS suggests that the Falcons may be ready to make a push given that their schedule softens up in November. After this week's trip to Indianapolis, the Falcons will play three straight home games against the Saints, Titans and Vikings.
The Falcons capture their highest ranking at Fox Sports where they check in at No. 9.
The Falcons put together their first back-to-back wins prior to their bye in Week 8, and seem to be finally hitting their stride offensively. Now, they travel to Indy in a tune-up game before hosting the Saints, which could determine the lead dog in the NFC South.
